Theraphy - Taking the Journey Together

I see the therapeutic process as a journey that we take together. At times it feels freeing and fun and at other times uncomfortable.

Regularly scheduled sessions enhance the progression of the process. The effects of emotional crisis may be alleviated in a brief period with short-term goal-directed therapy. However, in-depth change usually takes months and sometimes more than a year.

Short-Term or In-Depth Therapy

If you are interested in short-term therapy, we need to be clear together about setting immediate goals and adhering to them. Short-term therapy is appropriate when you have got into a minor issue that is not impacting your sense of self.

In-depth change, on the other hand, means altering life patterns so that the same crisis does not occur again in another form. It also means leading a richer, more focused life that is in keeping with your wants and needs. When the time comes to terminate extended therapy, it is important that we spend two or three sessions pulling together the process.

Confidentiality

It is up to you to choose the therapist, approach, and duration that best suits your needs. All communications between us will remain confidential, unless I have your written consent to exchange information; you confide that you may commit or have commiteed a crime or harmful acts; you are under 18 years old and the victim of a crime, which includes physical and sexual abuse; you bring charges against me; or I am required by law to provide the information.
